I recently got a SER9. Before I bought this mini PC I already knew about the possibility of bad wifi connection so after I first booted it up I did a speedtest and was relieved te see it was comparable to my other devices.
Some days later however I noticed the connection wasn’t stable and the same speedtest resulted in a 90% loss.
I tried many things and decided to reinstall Windows. After disconnecting all devices I did one more test and was flabbergasted to see the speed was 10 times better than the last time, same as with the first test.
It seems that the HDMI blocks the wifi signal. Holding the PC with the top faced towards the router results in a ‘mere’ 50% loss.
Displayport and USB-C connections for monitors are fine.
I was starting to feel really bad about this purchase but by pure luck I noticed this :)
