EQR6 Power Issues

We have purchased over 300 of the EQR6 models and have a consistent issue with the devices power supply going out. Please advise if disabling the Global Power state would correct these issues or what bios setttings would be appropriate.

Could you describe the power supply malfunction to us?
Please provide specific symptoms:
Cannot power on?
Abnormal standby power consumption?
Scheduled power-on?
Unable to restart after power failure?
We can assist in troubleshooting whether it’s a hardware or software issue.

What exactly does “disabling global power state” mean?

If it refers to AC Loss Policy (Power Loss Recovery Policy):

In the BIOS:

Power Management → AC Loss Policy

Set it to “Always Off” — the machine will not automatically power on after a power outage and subsequent restoration of power.

If it refers to automatic power-on related settings:

Check these items:

Power On By RTC → Disable

Resume on AC Power → Disable

Auto Power On → Disable

If it refers to Modern Standby:

The EQR6 uses an AMD platform, and some machines have Modern Standby enabled by default, which may cause abnormal sleep state.

In the BIOS:

Advanced → Power Management → Modern Standby

Set it to Disabled

I’d suggest testing it on a few units first. Also check BIOS settings like disabling deep sleep states (C-states) and ensuring power supply idle control is set to “Typical Current Idle.” If the problem persists, it’s likely a hardware issue with the power supply itself rather than BIOS.
