Hi Beelink team and community,
I have the original Beelink SER with AMD Ryzen 7 4800U (not the Intel variant) and I am experiencing repeated random hard crashes — the machine cuts power instantly with no shutdown sequence, no warning, just goes dead.
My device details:
Model: Beelink SER
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800U
Board: AZW SER V01
Serial: 4800H2HE10136
Current BIOS: SER_V1.14_P3C6M43_B_Link (dated March 24, 2022)
What the logs show:
Every single boot has these ACPI errors:
ACPI Error: No handler for Region [ECRM] [EmbeddedControl]
ACPI Error: Region EmbeddedControl (ID=3) has no handler
ACPI Error: Aborting method _SB.GPIO._EVT due to previous error (AE_NOT_EXIST)
ACPI FW issue: working around C-state latencies out of order (x16 on boot)
On top of that, recurring CPU Machine Check Errors on cores 12 and 13 every few hours:
[Hardware Error]: CPU:12 MC3_STATUS CE - Decode Unit Ext. Error Code: 1
[Hardware Error]: IPID: 0×000300b000000000
The machine has hard-crashed 15 times in the past two weeks with zero shutdown sequence in the logs — always a sudden power cut. The root cause appears to be the missing ACPI Embedded Controller (ECRM) handler in the current BIOS, which prevents the board from properly managing CPU power states and thermal events.
My questions:
Is there a BIOS update newer than V1.14 available for the AMD SER V01 board (board string P3C6M43)? I have looked on the support site and cannot find one for this specific unit.
Can a Beelink CS team member please send the latest BIOS file via PM?
Has anyone else with the original AMD SER 4800U experienced this? Any workarounds?
Note: I am aware there is a SER BIOS on the downloads page but it specifically mentions fixing the Intel 1135G7 fan noise — that is a different board and I don’t want to brick my unit with the wrong file. Also this is not a thermal issue and temps are always in range and do not exceed 75 degrees, even while running
this is a BIOS/ACPI firmware problem.
Any help appreciated. Thank you!
