Low sound issue with SER8 and Windows 11 Pro

Hi there,
I just did a fresh install of windows 11 pro on my SER8 with the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and Radeon 780M Graphics.

The issue is very low sound on the (front) headphone jack port with any headphones plugged in.
The interesting part is that I had the very same issue when I previously installed Fedora Workstation 43 on the very same SER8.

I went thru all the problem solving steps on both my current Windows 11 pro (and Fedora linux when it was installed), but the issue is still there, and I’m running out of ideas.

As far as I can tell, my new Windows 11 Pro install is using Microsoft’s audio drivers. Not sure what I had on Fedora.

I would really appreciate any help or advice. I’ve been very pleased with my SER8 except for this issue.

Could you please send us a picture of SN code(two lines) at the bottom of machine ?

1、You can try to clear CMOS :Please turn off the PC , unplug the power supply and HDMI cable , and press the CMOS pinhole for about 10 seconds. Ten minutes later, plug the power supply and HDMI cable, turn on the PC again.
Please wait about one or two minute, if you can go to the system.
Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as your restart the PC, go to BIOS. Go to Boot option, enable fast boot, press F4 to save.

2、Please uninstall the audio driver in the device manager and install the new one.

Hi June,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Please see the included picture from the bottom of my machine.

I will perform the options you listed out today. These are great, as I haven’t tried them yet. I spent most of yesterday trying to solve the problem myself.

I was starting to think this may be a audio hardware issue with my SER8. These additional options give me hope that there’s some solution!

I’ll let you know how it goes.
