SER5 MAX shutdown issue

My unit, bought in December 2025, has repeatedly had shutdown issues when under load. I’m seeking a simple fix that will resolve the random shutdowns, as we have changed nothing related to the unit on our end.

Lee M. Sorry to have kept you waiting.As Anzu users have stated, flashing the BIOS to the original version will help stabilize the device’s random shutdown issues.

Please press the Delete key repeatedly immediately after powering on to enter the BIOS settings. Then, take a photo of the BIOS main menu page and send it to us. This will help us check if your device needs a BIOS flash.

If the problem persists after flashing the BIOS, we will apply for a higher-wattage power adapter for you to resolve the issue.

I think you will receive an official response from support soon, so I
just wanted to share some information with you in the meantime.

I’m actually using the same model as you. This model has two different
types of BIOS: a “Stable” version and a “High-Performance” version.
The issue where the system shuts down under heavy CPU load seems to
happen when using the High-Performance BIOS. It feels like that
specific BIOS still has some stability bugs.

First, I’d recommend switching over to the Stable BIOS (SER50 0.01) to
see how it goes. Support will likely provide you with the download link.

On the other hand, as I mentioned, the High-Performance version is
still unstable. Plus, the standard 19V 3.5A (65W) AC adapter is barely
enough to handle peak power consumption. If you want to keep using the
High-Performance version stably, it looks like you’ll need an AC
adapter with a higher wattage.
