SER8 Fans continuous high noise

My Ser8 is running as a headless Ubuntu server.
Recently, last 2 weeks, the fans have been spinning continuously at high volume. The fans are spinning even when I’m sitting in the BIOS.

I’ve re-installed the OS, removed all docker containers, looked at the outputs of Htop, sensors, and so on but cannot isolate the reason for the fans spinning continuously and the air exhaust is constant.

BIOS has been flashed to February 2026.
Hardware Monitor reports 24°C for the CPU
In the BIOS the fan is fixed at ₂₈₀₀ RPM.
Manual PWM changes have no effect.
The case is room temperature.

I’ve cleaned the dust filter/guard.

Not sure what else I can check.

Could you please take a picture of the BIOS main screen of your machine for us to see?

You can try to clear CMOS : Please turn off the PC , unplug the power supply and HDMI cable , and press the CMOS pinhole for about 10 seconds. Ten minutes later, plug the power supply and HDMI cable, turn on the PC again.
Please wait about one or two minute, if you can go to the system.
Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as your restart the PC, go to BIOS. Go to Boot option, enable fast boot, press F4 to save.

Thank you for the tips - I tried that, reset the CMOS and waited a good 10 minutes before I booted into the BIOS and enabled fast boot. I sat there for 15-17 minutes before saving and going into the OS. Once there another 3-4 minutes passed before the fans started up again.

At first the fans started, stopped, and then restarted - now they have returned to thier constant high noise - so I’ve shutdown the SER8 once again.

Regarding the pictures you want - is there a secure way to do this?

Hi there,
Latest bios applied - as per the file you sent.

System rebooted as expected, docker containers came up fine, and system ran super quiet for 23 minutes - then the fans came back on at full volume, the air exhaust is pushing out cold air constantly, and the casing is nice and cold.

Hi there,
I applied option 2 of the fan settings and followed the post BIOS changes exactly.

After 15 minutes the fans came on, they ramped up full noise, then ramped down, then ramped back up again to full noise and stayed there.
