I am trying to recover a device that appears to have a bootloader or eMMC boot issue. The device no longer boots: Power LED stays on continuously. No HDMI output. No SPDIF activity. Very low power consumption (approximately 0.1A). The device is not detected normally by the USB Burning Tool. Before the failure occurred, I created a backup of the first 4 MB of the eMMC boot area. Analysis of the backup shows Amlogic bootloader signatures such as: @AML AMLC BL2 fip header The backup also contains bootloader build information: “Built : 17:47:29, Jul 11 2017” The device is believed to use an Amlogic S912 SoC. Could you please provide: The original firmware image for this device. Any bootloader recovery files (BL2/FIP/U-Boot). Recovery procedures for restoring a corrupted bootloader. USB Burning Tool compatible images, if available. If needed, I can provide photos of the motherboard, serial numbers, PCB markings, and additional diagnostic information.

Based on the symptoms, this does sound like a corrupted bootloader or damaged eMMC boot partition rather than a complete hardware failure. The presence of valid Amlogic signatures (@AML, AMLC, BL2, FIP header) in your 4 MB backup is a good sign, as it suggests at least part of the original boot chain was intact before the failure.
