Usb Power Controller On even when set to OFF in the bios

Hi,

On a ser8 8845, the bios setting Usb Power Controller is set to OFF.

When shutting down the ser8, the usb-c powers off correctly.

However, with the PC off and the wall socket off, when turning the wall socket on ( the ser8 is off), the usb-c enclosure powers on, but it should not.

Is this something that can be fixed, so that usb-c power is not activated and it is only activated when the ser8 powers on?

Hello there，

Our machine has a wake on lan function, if the machine is completely powered off, this function will not work properly.

Therefore, when the machine is connected to the power supply, even if it is turned off, the external interface of the machine will have electricity.

If you need to power off the USB port of the machine, then you will have to cut off the power supply that the machine is connected to.

I’m unsure if what I wrote was clear. I can see an inconsistency with the usb-c power:

plug the ser8 power supply.
usb-c is powering the external device (can we disable this?)
turn the machine on.
turn the machine off.
usb-c is not powering anymore (good).

Unplug the ser8 power supply and plug it again.
usb-c is powering the external device again.

Would it be possible to have the usb consistently powered off ?

We apologize that it is not possible for you to disable the USB-C port from supplying power to external devices while the machine is powered off but not completely disconnected from the power source.
