Dear Support,
I trust that you will appreciate that I was very, very reluctant to spend the time in a complete re-installation of the operating system and the take the risks of a back-up either changing the system or failing to restore the exact configuration that I have spent many hours in installing!
So I thought that perhaps a closer look at the BIOS settings may help - and I found under the ‘Chipset’ tab, the ‘HD Audio Configuration’ option. In this, I changed the ‘Audio DSP Compliance Mode’ to ‘Non-UAA (IntelSST’, and re-installed the drivers.
I am very pleased and happy to be able to report that the Device Manager now shows that the Realtek High Definition Audio has been installed!
Thank you for your outstanding support and help, and I trust that my findings above will be of use to you in the future.
Yours sincerely,
Allen Cherry
