SER9 255 (780M): rendering crashes / random restarts gaming

Hi all,

I’m having recurring stability issues on my SER9 255 while gaming, and I’m hoping someone else with a similar setup has run into this.

The problem:
While playing Overwatch, the game crashes intermittently with an AMD error dialog reporting a rendering failure. Sometimes it’s just the game that closes; other times the entire PC restarts. This happens even though Overwatch’s system requirements are well below what this machine should handle without issue — so it’s not a raw performance problem, it feels like an instability issue.

My specs:

Model: SER9 255
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 255 w/ Radeon 780M (integrated graphics)
RAM: 32GB, 6400 MT/s (running at stock/JEDEC speed, EXPO not yet enabled)
BIOS: SER9L101 (16/07/2025) — haven’t updated yet
GPU driver: 32.0.23033.1002 / Adrenalin 26.3.1
OS: Windows 11 Pro, 25H2

Questions for the community:

Has anyone else with a SER9 255 / Radeon 780M seen this specific “rendering failure” crash?
Did updating the BIOS or a specific driver version fix it for you?
Any known firmware issue with the 780M on this model (similar to what I’ve seen mentioned for the SER9 370/Pro line)?

Could you please send us a picture of SN code(two lines) at the bottom of machine?

At present, we have not received any reports from other users of SER9 255 / Radeon 780M who have encountered this “rendering failure” crash issue.

It is suggested that you try updating the BIOS to see if it can solve the problem. For the BIOS file, please refer to your private message.

The 780M graphics card mentioned on your machine model does not have any known firmware issues.
