I recently joined the forum after taking delivery of a GTR9 Pro (AI Max+ 395) and I’m interested in hearing whether anyone else has experienced similar issues.
This is a completely out-of-the-box setup running the pre-installed version of Windows 11 Pro, with no major configuration changes.
The issues I’ve noticed so far are:
- System tray icons behaving strangely. Some icons appear and others don’t, even though they’re enabled in the taskbar settings.
- Fan noise in Performance mode. The system seems noticeably noisy, with the fans running at a higher speed almost constantly, even during light use.
- Wired network connection dropping. After a period of inactivity, the Ethernet connection appears to disconnect and doesn’t always recover automatically.
I’m starting to wonder whether these problems are related to the factory Windows image, drivers, BIOS settings, or something else. Has anyone else seen similar behaviour?
If so:
- Did you keep the original Windows installation?
- Did you perform a clean installation of Windows?
- Did you move to Linux or another operating system?
- Did any of those changes improve stability?
Any advice would be appreciated.
