Beelink U59-PRO Overheating

Hi there,

I recently purchased an used Beelink U59-PRO which suffers from overheating (I think).

Tests I did so far:

closed case, 1 RAM stick in Slot B, without extra fan -> dead after a few minutes
closed case, 2 RAM sticks in Slot A+B, without extra fan -> dead after a few minutes
Removed casing, 2 RAM Sticks, extra fan blowing air across the board -> memtest running for >2h
Removed bottom of case, 1 RAM stick in Slot A, without extra fan -> memtest running for >2h
Removed bottom of case, 1 RAM stick in Slot B, without extra fan -> memtest running for >2h
Removed bottom of case, 2 RAM sticks in Slot A+B, without extra fan -> dead after a few minutes
Removed bottom of case, 2 RAM sticks in Slot A+B, extra fan blowing air across the board -> dead after a few minutes

CPU shows around 80°C and ₂₀₀₀ MHz.

UEFI:

Is this a known problem? Is there a UEFI update?

Hello.
Your BIOS is up-to-date.Please troubleshoot starting with thermal issues.

Thermal troubleshooting steps
① Disassemble the device to clean dust, focus on heat sink fins, fan blades and air outlet.
② Re‑apply thermal grease, Noctua NT‑H2 or Thermalright TFX is recommended, do not use low‑cost grey thermal grease.

Memory check
Two RAM sticks must be same brand, same model, same frequency and same batch. Mixed‑spec RAM is the top cause of N5105 IMC compatibility failure. Prefer Kingston Fury, Crucial or Samsung original‑particle memory. For N5105 IMC, 1.2V DDR4‑3200 has better compatibility than 1.35V.
Power supply check
Use multimeter to test original 12V/3A adapter under no‑load and load conditions, voltage should be ≥11.8V under load. For used unit, the power adapter may be aged. Try another confirmed‑good 12V/3A or higher‑current adapter with 5.5×2.5mm DC barrel jack.

If the unit still crashes within minutes under dual‑channel configuration after finishing all above steps, it indicates hardware defect on mainboard or CPU IMC.

Hi,

thank you for the swift response. I did already reapply the thermal paste (Notctua NT-H2) and cleaned the device from any dust. I have two sticks of identical RAM (Kingston MSI24D4S7S8MB-8 – 8 GB 2400 MHz). I already change the power supply with an known good one (12V, 3A).

Also note after some time I can’t input anything via keyboard ( CTRL + ALT + DEL for example).

Are there any other troubleshooting steps or is there any warranty/repair service?
