I’m running Archlinux on a GTR7. I have connected an NVIDIA 3090 with a dock station UT3G UT4G to the port on the back, upper right (the one that works at full speed). At the other port (the one over the DC power input) I have connected another usb4 device - a terramaster DAS with 4 hard disks.
The system was working fine, until I use for some minute the eGPU at full capacity (running LLMs with llama.cpp). After 10 minutes, the GTR7 just stops working. The OS crashes, and there’s no way to recover it.
I have to reset the CMOS, unplug it from the power, wait some hour and then it worked again.
Now, after the 3rd attempt, it’s not booting anymore. I just have the fun running at full-speed and it’s not booting. No matter how many hours I keep it unplugged and how many times I try to reset the CMOS.
What should I do?
I have updated the BIOS to the latest available version.
