Sorry for the trouble.
Please send us a picture of SN on the bottom of the PC.
Step 1: Manually convert to GPT using the DiskPart command line
When the process halts with the prompt X:\Windows\System32>, enter the following commands in order:
list disk
select disk 0
clean
convert gpt
create partition primary
format fs=ntfs quick
exit
Crucial note: The clean command wipes all data on the drive, including recovery partitions (which is likely why the tool failed).
Step 2: If it still fails, manually delete partitions and clean the drive
list disk
select disk 0
attributes disk clear readonly
clean
convert gpt
Step 3: Recreate the bootable USB drive using Rufus
The tool itself might have selected the wrong boot mode:
Rewrite the USB drive using Rufus → Select GPT + UEFI (non-CSM)
File system: NTFS
Restart the installation
Step 4: If none of the above works, there may be a hardware issue with the disk
Run:
diskpart
list disk
select disk 0
detail disk
If the status shows “Offline,” “Foreign,” or “Unreadable” → There is a hardware issue with the hard drive or its connection.
