GunFan We sincerely apologize; the BIOS path provided previously does not allow direct access to the PSB option in the current V105 version.
Please follow these correct steps:
- Press Del during startup to enter the BIOS, then navigate to: Advanced → AMD CBS → SOC Miscellaneous Control → Microsoft Security Levels.
- Change the setting from
Customize to Standard.
Switching to Standard mode automatically enables PSB (Platform Security Boot), SMM Supervisor, and System Guard Secure Launch. Although these specific items are not displayed individually in the BIOS menu, they are active in the background.
- Regarding the ASP fTPM Level: Your Strix Halo (HX470) model does not have a discrete TPM chip; therefore, we recommend setting this to
fTPM only and avoiding options that include dTPM. The previous Customize mode may have inadvertently disabled relevant security features.
- Press F4 to save the BIOS settings and restart the computer.
After restarting and entering Windows, go to Settings → Privacy & security → Windows Security → Device security → Core isolation details, and attempt to enable Firmware Protection.
Important Note
There is a limitation in the V105 BIOS for the SER10 MAX 470: while switching to Standard security mode automatically activates the relevant security features in the background, the BIOS interface does not display sub-options such as PSB.
If Windows still indicates that Firmware Protection cannot be enabled after applying these settings, this is an issue inherent to the V105 BIOS version itself. We will report this issue to our R&D team.
