Hello,
I’m considering buying the Beelink SER8, which comes with the following specs:
AMD Ryzen™ 7 8845HS / Radeon 780M
32GB DDR5 @ 5600MHz
1TB High-Speed PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSD
Triple Display Output: DP 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB 4
Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.2 Support
The SER8 is priced at £408 ($519) with free shipping to the UK when ordering directly from Beelink. In comparison, UK retailers are selling the same model for around £650–£700 ($826–$890).
If I order from China, even after accounting for customs fees and VAT (assuming the HS commodity code 8471.41.0000), I would only pay £81.68 ($104) in VAT, bringing the total to £489.68 ($621)—significantly less than the local retail price.
This difference has me wondering if I’m overlooking any factors when ordering directly from Beelink vs. buying from a UK-based supplier.
