Hi everyone,

I bought my SER8 six months ago, and everything was absolutely fine until 2 days ago when a Windows update process led to the following error (Stop code):

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
What when wrong: ntoskrnl.exe
Image description

Model: SER8 Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32 GB DDR5 RAM 1 TB NVMe SSD

The computer is now completely stuck, I have tried the Reset the PC with/without personal files but it displays the same error. When starting up the machine it goes directly to the Blue screen and it is impossible to do anything…

Any help is well appreciated.
Thank you,
Best

Hello. I had the same problem with SER 8. And a few other people on the forum dedicated to this mini-PC.
    https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showtopic=1093738

After some correspondence, I realized that the problem is probably in the latest version of the BIOS. I have version V029.P8COM installed. Other people who also encountered problems when starting Windows had the same version.

I deleted the latest updates through the recovery menu.
I ran the sfc /scannow command. The result of the command was the message: no real masterpiece found. But Windows still does not start.

Then I will try to flash earlier versions of BIOS 26 and 27. The computer refuses to flash them now.

Please suggest a solution. Reinstalling Windows is an extreme measure, and I suspect that it will not help.

I would like to hear instructions on downgrading the BIOS version.

    Hi there
Please try some solutions here :
    1.CLR CMOS
First, please unplug the power supply and HDMI cable.
Secondly, Please hit the “CLR CMOS” button/hole for about 10 seconds.
For some models the CMOS hole could be in the Audio port .
Please wait until 10 minutes later (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT),
Then plug the power supply and HDMI cable back in, turn on the PC again,
once turn on the PC, you will need more than one minute to wait for the PC to enter the system.
See if it works. Please try few more times.

2.(Please back up your important data)
    Reset System Steps:
Restart the device. When the circling appears, press the power button for 5 secs until the device shuts down.
Repeat this process two or three times.
When you see the repair page, choose Advanced options, Troubleshoot, Reset, and select Keep my files.

    1. Please email us with SN picture and BIOS version .
we will send you system file and BIOS file
    a month later

On my side indeed I had to completely reinstall windows from microsoft website, lost all my data but now everything works. Ultimately even the windows update 24H2 went through without any issue and everyting is working fine on my SER8.
