Having just received my EQR6 I have to admit the unit has proven better than my expectations. However here are a couple of feature requests, that I doubt would be added to the unit I bought, but that I would find useful as I wouldn’t have to find a workaround:
1) As I can’t find any hardwired visual of disk (storage) activity, I suggest the power light be replaced with a multicolored diode that would show one color (probably white) for ON and at least one other color to show read/write activity on any of the built-in drives. Don’t know if there are any spare lines on the flexible connector to the front panel card to make it easy to implement.
2) The speakers added to the new SER9 HX370 are also interesting. Could they be added simply by putting them in some empty space between the bottom of the case and an area above the DIMMS simply by tacking on speaker leads to the back side of the 3.5mm audio jack. The speakers would turn off simply by plugging in wired headphones and/or by choice of audio control in Windows.
