I got a Beelink SER8 AMD Ryzen™ 7 8745HS MINI PC 8 less than a month ago and used it with Linux.
I experienced multiples random freezes/crashes with no visible anomalies in system logs or in grafana monitoring.
Today, I ran memtest and it identified many hardware errors (1).
I did the test multiple times and tried with each ram module (crucial technology).
RAM module 1 in back connector: ok (seen as 11.8GB)
RAM module 2 in back connector: ok (seen as 11.8GB)
RAM module 1 in front connector: boot issue, freeze early before test starts
RAM module 2 in front connector: boot issue, black screen
Both module appears as 12GB (supposed to be 16GB???) and no errors when tested separately in back connector.
I fear an issue with front connector. What to do next?
