Boot from USB pen drive

Good Day folks.
I had Just buy a Mini S12 Pro with Intel Alder Lake-N N100.
I Need to install a Linux OS, but I was not able to boot from a USB pen drive.
In the pen drive drive there Is a live version of Ubuntu,
I tested the pen drive on a my old laptop and It works fine.
On the beellink when I press F7 or I enter the setup menù I see the pen drive likes option tò boot, but It doesn’t work.

Do you have any suggestion?

Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS.
① Secure Boot: The Secure Boot option in the BIOS might be enabled. Secure Boot is a security feature that only allows the system to boot from signed and trusted bootloaders. If your USB drive’s bootloader is not signed or recognized, it won’t boot. Try disabling Secure Boot in the BIOS settings.
②Boot Order: Double - check the boot order. Even though you see the USB drive as an option to boot, it might not be the first in the boot priority list. Make sure the USB drive is set as the first boot device.
③USB Drive Format: The format of the USB drive might not be recognized correctly by the Mini S12 Pro. Make sure the USB drive is formatted correctly. For booting Linux, it’s usually recommended to have it formatted as FAT32 (for UEFI booting) or ext4 (for legacy booting in some cases).
④ Please try another USB port.

Thanks, I resolved changing the Port.

A question, I have seen that the option “secure boot” Is not editabile, do i Need to upgrade the firmware?

① Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS.

②Navigate to Security page. Click secure boot and choose enable , change the secure boot mode to custom, press F4 to save.

③ When the PC restarts, press delete key to go to BIOS again. change the secure boot mode to standard and press F4 to save. The status will become active.

With my Mini S12 Pro, I am also unable to boot Ubuntu in legacy mode via USB despite making the necessary BIOS changes. This USB SSD boots in legacy mode in other machines.
Booting Ubuntu in UEFI via USB works (different USB SSD).

Has anybody been able to boot in legacy mode?

Hi, just got a new Beelink and want to install Fedora Linux. I have put the USB drive in and tried F2, F12, ESC and DELete keys upon boot. I cannot get to the BIOS and reset anything as mentioned above. Yes the wireless mouse and keyboard work as it let me answer the very first question in the Windows install (which language), now every tiem I boot I come up immediately with what country.

How the heck do I get to the boot menu?

With a DELL, it is F2 (was F12). DELete does nothing - held down or repeatedly pressed.

For the record _ I have foung that with the power off, holding down either the DELete key or F2 (perhaps other keys too) results in the power coming on and going to the hated menu for Windows not the boot menu.

never mind - the key was F7 and NOT using a wireless keyboard/mounse
