Theoretically, BIOSes are available here: https://dr.bee-link.cn/?dir=uploads%2FSER%2FSER8-8845%2F In practice and many reports from this forum, Beelink asks not to select the installation files yourself, but first write to them at support-pc@bee-link.com (with a photo of the nameplate / SN and a photo from the main BIOS screen) and wait for feedback - with the files.
My initial BIOS (with which I received the computer) is: SER8P5C8V29 08/14/2024
The files I received for the support-pc@: SER8_LK_V29_15_08_2024-10-24_7-07-48-P8COM0C15_08-optimizing-the-fan-speed.zip,
as for the instructions I received - it looks like they were for an older version of FW (here it looked completely different).
How did it look?
1) format the pendrive as FAT32, name WINPE (quick format is enough);
2) contents of the update package - note in this long *.zip package there is a folder SER8_LK_V29.15.08 only data from this folder is placed directly on the pendrive (in the main window);
3) mount the pendrive in the computer, restart it, go to the BOOT MENU and choose to start from the pendrive;
4) and here it starts to look different for me than in the instructions - I didn’t have to do anything, literally after a moment (I didn’t have time to take a picture) the script execution started and I saw the initial installation window;
5) after a few moments the question of whether to continue;
6) then the BIOS window where I had to choose “Proceed with flash update”;
7) that’s it, a few restarts later - the BIOS is in a newer version… HPT.8xxx.SER8.V029.P8C0M0C15.08.Link 10/23/2024
