Remove bottom plastic cover

Hi,

How do I remove the plastic air inlet cover plate on the bottom of a SER8 8745HS unit? I don’t see any screws or fasteners, just a small rubber tab.

I need to re-seat my WiFi card to improve my poor download speed but can’t open the unit.

Perhaps there is a video that demonstrates the process?

While watching the video I noticed what seems to be a pair of speakers. Is that correct?

The reason I ask is that I have never heard any sound produced by my unit. Perhaps they are switched off by default?

Or perhaps I’m using the wrong Windows Output Device? I assume the speakers should play sound when I select “Speakers (Realtek Audio)”. Is that correct?

Hi again,

I have chosen “Speakers” (see first screenshot below), but still there is no sound.

Next I tested the Speakers output (see second screenshot below), but still no sound. I am sure my audio source is active because it plays correctly when I switch to my other two Outputs.

I have also run Windows diagnosis, but it reports no problems.

Do you have any suggestions to enable sound from the built-in speakers?

First, Please turn off the PC , unplug the power supply, and press the CMOS button (if no CMOS button, please put the pin in the CMOS pinhole and press it ) for about 10 seconds , restart the PC after ten minutes. Please send us a picture of SN number and BIOS version.
So we would be able to know whether it is latest BIOS and send you files accordingly.
