MiniS13 cannot boot from USB SSD

Hello,

I am trying to boot from a USB SSD. It is not being detected in the bios.
bios version 2.22.1293 11/04/2025
other flash drives are detected. I tried CSM and it had no affect. Is there a bios update for this device?

Hello there,

Please press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, so that you can go to BIOS. Please send us a picture of the Main page.
We will check if you need to update the BIOS.

Please also try another USB port.

By the way, what is the partition format is your USB SSD?

Actually just returned the USB SSD drive. It seems that anything that is detected as a SCSI device doesn’t show up in bios. I switched to a basic usb SSD adapter with 2.5inch drive and that worked ok. Also it didn’t seem to matter what partitions were on the drive uefi would never see the drive itself.

It appears the SCSI detection problem was keeping the drive from being displayed in the BIOS. Working around that with a simple USB SSD adapter is a decent fix. In the future if you are having these types of problems, looking for BIOS updates or messing with boot options may be a solution.
