Heya guys,

I am wondering if anyone else has a new SER9 device, serial starting “DX” is willing to try and help me repair the OEM settings in the SMBIOS that got wiped due to a BIOS flash (lots of ‘default string’ entries now).

All I need is for someone to dump the DMI information on theirs - I have my serial number, but want to try and put in half sensible values.
I can point them to the windows tool and provide steps, or provide Linux steps (if anyone is using Linux) to dump the information.
All it needs is someone with an SER9 that hasn’t had the BIOS updated and 5-10 minutes.

Thanks for at least reading..

May i ask which version of bios do you need?
Please send us a picture of SN on the bottom of the PC.

Serial number starts “DX”, BIOS is SER9T103 (the latest).
The information I’m after is all the extra information in the DMI/SMBIOS.

This can be done in Windows using the “amidewinx64.exe /ALL” and then copying what it outputs.
It will generate something similar to what is visible here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/need-dmi-info-for-meg-x570s-ace-max.392303/

I appreciate the serial numbers won’t want to be given to me - but I’m really after all the other ones anyway.

Sorry - my question isn’t on how to change the serial numbers - I’m able to do that just fine thank you.

My question is on the rest of the SMBIOS/DMI information that was wiped during the BIOS update.
Like the system ID, the asset tag, and things like the Baseboard version, etc..
If I had the output from another machine, I would be able to know most of the things - and be able to know the format of the others (I could even go looking on the motherboard etc for those tags to get the real ones).

    Hi there
I am sorry . other informations changed after BIOS update will remain changed , i am afraid.

but If you would like to know more about BIOS and PC informations
You can try this way :

    1. Prese : Win + R ,
    2. Type : msinfo32
    3. Send us the screen.

You’re right, it will remain the same because no-one wants to give me the information to put in it.
    :(
