I hope someone can help with this. I have a mini ryzen 7 5800, and the hdmi port seems to be having a problem. The display freezes up while the computer is booting up, then, if i switch my HDMI input on my Fire TV, and then go back to the normal (HDMI) port I use, the display shows the sign in screen , but it does not respond (the display) to my mouse or keyboard inputs, but when I switch the inputs again (and return to my normal port) the display had again changed, but I still don’t see my mouse moving around at all, but it ‘is’ moving when I move it, i just have to switch the inputs back and forth to see what is going on. I was watching a movie yesterday, and the audio continued while the screen was frozen.
I am hoping that getting an adapter for the display port (havent used it yet) so i can run it to my tv, or a different monitor for further troubleshooting, but I have a feeling I’m going to have to do an RMA, and with President Trump’s traffis, I may be waiting a long time.
I am grateful for any help. I have been planning on returning to school to get my PhD in clinical psychology (bachlors in science in applied psychology in 2022, masters in industrial/orginizational psychology in 2024), but if my win11 pc is down, I can’t do beans.
