I’ve seen several posts that haven’t really been addressed and I wanted to add mine to the pile to hopefully push for a resolution on this. I use gaming distros of Linux on most of my pcs. Bazzite, CachyOS, ChimeraOS as examples. Every single Linux distro I’ve used over the last few days on my GTi14, Gaming or Desktop based such as Ubuntu, does the same exact thing during the install process. It is a real pain to get the installer to even boot from a USB. Sometimes it’ll boot, sometimes the installer will freeze once it boots, sometimes the installer will actually complete and then the system will freeze as soon as you login to the Linux Distro. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or method to why the freezing occurs, and nothing every shows weird in the logs if you’re able to somehow capture one, but the GTi14 does not like Linux in it’s current state. I honestly think there is something within the firmware, or the bios firmware, that is prohibiting the installation of any other OS other than Windows. I do not believe it is a hardware issue whatsoever, this seems to be an issue within the BIOS that is rejecting anything that isn’t a Windows installation. Regardless, Beelink needs eyes and attention on this immediately. I’m sure if others knew that you’d be hard locked into WindowsOS with this device, they would’ve canceled their orders or avoided this device all together. Beelink, please look at this and provide us a solution or even acknowledgement of working towards a solution ASAP.

Hi, this is a problem as this is an older version of Ubuntu. Can you install Ubuntu 24? Or the one I’m having issues with is Fedora Linux. Bazzite can’t be installed either. @Beelink CS-George can you please advise if there’s a bios issue preventing installation of newer Linux versions or can you confirm you’re working on a fix? Otherwise, I’ll have to return this device as something is blocking new installations of Linux from being installed

Hi there, Could you please offer us your BIOS version ? Please press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, so that you can go to BIOS. Please send us a picture of the Main page. We will check if you need to update the BIOS.

Beelink CS-George Hi, I am on the latest bios for my device (or so I believe as it was provided via email by support). I have taken your advice and tried to install Ubuntu 23 as you advised and I have not only run into errors, but they seem bios related. Please see my attached screenshots. Whenever I install any version of Linux, some version of this screen is shown and I cannot understand what it means but I assume it is a bios related issue that needs to be sorted.

@Beelink CS-George someone needs to explain why Bazzite and other distros can’t be installed. I received any email from support, with minimal information, saying Bazzite and Linux can’t be installed but no reason as to why. Can you comment on this?

Hankydooodle Hi there, our R&D are working on it. We tested some PC, all of them work fine with linux 24.10, just a PC returned from a client cannot install linux 24.10 . If any updates, we will let you know.

Beelink CS-George what you exactly tested?. The configuration with bios T202 certainly do not work with ubuntu 24.10 . Is not just one PC, it’s multiple people reporting the same. You can install it, it boots (most of the times), but constantly freeze after some usage (could be 10 minutes or 2 hours). Its unusable.

So it appears there is not a fix for this issue. I will be requesting a return. Linux is my primary OS of choice and if there is no fix for this firmware issue then I not only wasted my time but a hell of a lot of money. I would like a link to the Windows installation image so I can return it in it original state. You should label your products as “DOES NOT SUPPORT LINUX” . It is bad form to sell a system (basically a Intel laptop in a box) that SHOULD support Linux out of the box but can’t. It is misleading to consumers of your product to not specifically state the necessary OS requirements. Even the simplest of systems, Raspberry Pi for example, run Linux without any issues like this. So very disappointed as I had high hope for this setup.

Hello, Beelink. Do you have updated BIOS for GTi13 Ultra? I have BIOS version GTIT202. Here there are no any updates. Did your R&D team test linux on GTi13? I found this thread since I have problems installing NixOS on GTi13.

Issue details: I was unable to install NixOS : the Linux distribution 25.05 Graphical Distribution. After loading from USB drive installer fails with error: https://discourse.nixos.org/t/stage-1-boot-failed-for-nixos/31036 (that is not my post, but I have exactly same message).

My question is - should I update my BIOS as well as you advised above? If yes, then which BIOS firmware I should use for my GTi13?

We suggest you install older version.

I have a GTi14 Intel Core Ultra 9 185H3.10 GHz with 64G RAM and am having this issue with no dual boot screen after installing Zorin OS18 Core.
I have attached photos of the BIOS version as well as the serial number.
I hope you can help me out here, thank you.

My BIOS is T204, yet I am unable to dual boot with Zorin OS18 Core.
Zorin installation went OK, no issues, when I re start, it does not go into the dual boot windows, it just boots into Windows 11.
I have also contacted your support-pc via e-mail as well.
