Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with my integrated GPU — Radeon 780M on a Ryzen 9 7940HS processor. The system only allocates 400MB of VRAM, which is extremely limiting for both applications and games.

I went into the BIOS and manually set the UMA Frame Buffer Size to 4GB, but even after doing that, the system still only shows 400MB of video memory available. It doesn’t seem to allocate additional VRAM from the system RAM as expected.

I’ve watched and followed every tutorial I could find on this topic, but nothing has worked so far.

Could someone please help or suggest what else I might try to make the system allocate more VRAM?

Thanks in advance!

Change it in registry editor, easy guide via this site:

Btw did you try checking it with a hardware monitor program and make sure it isn’t just showing it up wrong but actually using the right amount, cause if you didn’t you should and also if you play a game that requires 6gb of vram or more and it launches and works than you have your answer of it using the vram you changed it to.

Also make sure to save the bios setting before you close out of bios in case you didnt know about this as any changes to bios need to be saved or it won’t take affect.

NoiseB Hi there, Please turn off the PC , unplug the power supply and other USB devices, then put the pin in the CMOS pinhole and press it for about 10 seconds , restart the PC after ten minutes. Then adjust the VRAM again in the BIOS.
