Hello support and fellow Beelink MiniPC owners!
I observed that my SER8 keeps the USB Power on when turned off. For several reasons I need the USB power to be off when the computer is off (without having to pull the plug).
In the BIOS I tried Advanced/ACPI Settings/Enable Hibernation == Disabled and Advanced/OEM Features Management/USB Power Controller == OFF with no effect (usb still powered when Computer is turned off).
I use BIOS version HPT.8xxx,SER8.V029.P8COM 0C15.13.LINK from 02/21/2015 (rather recent one I think)

So here is my question:
How can I turn power off for USB ports when the Computer is off?

I’m aware that this is an issue for other users too and has already been addressed in the forum, however I did not find a solution. If there is currently no solution, please add a working setting in the BIOS (other mini computers to provide this behaviour).

And what is the function of bios setting Advanced/OEM Features Management/USB Power Controller [OFF|ON]?

Regards
Ole

    Hello Ole,

    1. The USB power controller of BIOS you ask is about the function of USB power control at the beginning.
But this option is not valid.
The motherboard of the machine has limited the power problems of the USB interface, which cannot be changed by changing the BIOS or the Settings in Windows.

2, Our machine has a wake on lan function, if the machine is completely powered off, this function will not work properly. Therefore, when the machine is connected to the power supply, even if it is turned off, the external interface of the machine will have electricity.

    Have a nice day!
