Hello,
I recently started using an eGPU with my SER 7 and everything has been great. Using the USB 4 with no issues. I have followed many of the guides on here and am getting good results, however there is one thing that has bothered me.
I have a current generation eGPU capable of ray tracing, but when I use ray tracing in the game settings the computer sends 54w or more to the CPU and I end up getting temps above 85 degrees, which I am uncomfortable with.
I have found a work-around in using “balanced” mode and setting the CPU power profile to 45w which will keep the temps down, but I am losing some performance. I was wondering if someone here at beelink could walk me through setting up a “high performance” fan curve (I do NOT care about fan noise, I have a sound system that is much louder) through the BIOS using the Fan Control settings under SMU common options in the last BIOS update for this mini PC (LK_V07).
There are a lot of options here, and I would like some direction. I have read a lot of reddit threads and understand that a PWM value of 255 should equate to 100% RPM but if you could provide me with some more direct values to set for this I would appreciate it.
Once again, I DO NOT CARE IF THE CPU FAN SOUNDS LIKE A PLANE LANDING, I just want to run 54w through the CPU to get more frames during Ray Tracing.
