SER 9 asks for password after Win11 reinstall, data retained

From Amazon on December 1, 2024 and it’s been fine until today. The latest Win11 update would not complete successfully so I did a reinstall of Win11 off the Microsoft webpage with the option to retain my data.

Everything seemed to go fine but when the miniPC completed the updates and restarted, I got a sign in screen asking for my ID and Password. I entered my email address: 423sail@gmail.com and my Microsoft account password but it is not recognized.

Before the reinstall, I had never been asked for an ID or password but now I cannot get past the sign in screen - progress is blocked since I don’t have the password the system needs. I tried disconnecting from internet, no change.

Any ideas on how to fix?

What I have now is MS wallpaper and when I press the space key, I get my sign on nickname “Bob423” and under that a request for a password. When I entered my Microsoft password I use to access my Microsoft account, it says “incorrect password” . Before the reinstall of Win11 (with retained data), I was never asked for a password, only a PIN (PIN doesn’t work either in the password text box).

I tried unplugging from my router and restarted - same result. It still asks for a password. I have no idea what password it’s asking for, I never set one.

Problem resolved! The problem was a password I used but didn’t remember uisng when I first powered up; the SER9. Everything is working now and Windows 11 update loaded the most recent update successfully from the online image. I never did get Windows update to work with the updater in Win11 - for the last update. It was fine previously.
