I sent this to support but maybe someone else out there has the same issue and solved it….
I have a new EQi12, installed OPNSense 25.7.1_1 (including FreeBSD 14.3-RELEASE-p1). It mostly works, but gives repeated errors:
[22] Firmware Error (ACPI): Could not resolve symbol [\134_SB.PC00.LPCB.ITE8.GETT], AE_NOT_FOUND (20221020/psargs-503)
[22] ACPI Error: Aborting method \134_TZ.TZ00._TMP due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20221020/psparse-689)
These come out every few seconds. I’ve tried resetting the bios, turning lots of stuff on and off, but no amount of experimenting seems to change anything. I am running the default bios (2.22.1292 EQI12D402).
This appears related to ACPI and maybe thermal control; I have no idea if the errors (or lack of control) will cause an issue or if it is just cosmetic and filling up the log.
Anyone run across this before?
