How to set up internet sharing on a Beelink Me Mini running a NAS system?

Hi,

I have pre-ordered a Beelink Me Mini and plan to use it as a NAS system once it arrives. I have a question regarding its network capabilities.

The device will receive internet via one of its network ports, and I would like to know if it’s possible to configure it to share that internet connection with another device (e.g., a PC) via a wired connection. The method of sharing doesn’t necessarily have to rely solely on the network ports—any solution that works is acceptable.

Additionally, I’m curious about which NAS systems (e.g., TrueNAS or others) would be suitable for this purpose and how they could be configured to enable internet sharing.

I’d appreciate any advice or guidance on how to prepare for setting this up once the device arrives.

I’m waiting for my Me Mini too…

With any ’nix-like OS (FreeBSD for TrueNAS core, Debian Linux for TrueNAS scale or OpenMediaVault) it’s possible to bridge a second network interface to the first, but it takes a little googling to figure out how. If you would rather throw money at the problem buy a 5-port unmanaged ethernet switch. 1Gb switches can be found for under $20 and 2.5Gb for under $50.
