Hi,
I purchased a SEi12U with 32GB (2×16GB) of memory via Amazon in November 2022 and it has been a great PC! Great performance, very dependable!
Recently my SEi12U started having memory issues which I confirmed by booting to memtest.
I replaced the SODIMM memory in both slots and discovered that the problem is with the top memory slot.
I can now only boot/run with a single 16GB SODIMM in the bottom memory slot (Mainboard ➤ BANK 0 ➤ Controller0-ChannelA-DIMM0).
When both SODIMM slots are used, or only the top slot is used (Mainboard ➤ BANK 0 ➤ Controller1-ChannelA-DIMM0), the PC will not even boot to BIOS. The fan comes on steady, but no video and nothing else happens.
- I am using BIOS version ALDER108
- Using 1x SODIMM the BIOS shows four memory slots with the first being 1× 16GB SODIMM. The others show as empty.
- Power adapter multi-meter output test shows 19.19V DC
- The inside of the case was clean, but just in case I carefully blew it out with compressed air
- I pressed/reset the CMOS
Any ideas on how I can get the top SODIMM slot working again? 🤔
Thank you for your consideration!
