I recently received my Mini ME and got it set up using OpenMedfiaVault as a NAS system. I installed 3 SK/Hynix SSDs and set up a RAID-5 system. Everything was working fine and I’ve been able to do backups to the RAID.
My issue came when I decided to add 3 more SSDs. I bought 3 TeamGroup T-Force G70 SSDs and installed them in the Mini ME. It took a very long time to boot up and when the system came up, OMV only recognized 1 SSD. I rebooted and went into the BIOS and saw only one new SSD recognized. I then went through a cycle of removing the new SSDs, swapping them around and rebooting. It will sometimes recognize one SSD, but now it’s just booting up and not seeing any new SSDs. I ran fdisk -l to see if Debian recognized the SSDs, but no luck. I took the SSDs out and installed each one in an external enclosure and connected it to my Windows desktop and it sees all three with no issues.
One thing I noticed was there when an SSD(s) were installed in the M2 slots ( there are slots 4-6 BTW), a green led would come on. There is no green light behind any of the SSDs in slots 1-3.
I can send pictures of the SSDs and of the bottom of the Mini ME if that would help. I’d rather not post them to a public forum.
Thanks
