Hello, I have an EQR5 with AMD Ryzen 7 5825u and 32GB running the stock Windows 11 Pro and have 3 issues. Typically, when updating Windows the reboot doesn’t work properly. The computer seems to be running because the white led is on and the fan too, but the screen remains black independent on which HDMI port. If I press the power button to switch it off (for more than 4 Seconds) the computer shuts down, but when switching it again on, the screen is still black though the power light is on and the fan running. The only thing that helps is removing the power cable. And I read other users here in the forum are complaining of the same issue, so it is a general problem with the computer. Because it happens when the windows tries to restart, it seems there is a problem between the restart command that windows sends and the BIOS. Or some issue with ACPI commands implementation maybe? Wireless display via Miracast is not available, although both AMD Ryzen 7 5825u processor and the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 module support Miracast. Even installing the newest AMD and Intel drivers doesn’t solve the issue. It seems the Beelink has disabled it somehow, either in the BIOS or there is another driver issue. When the customers buy a PC with specific CPU and WIFI module they expect that all features are available. Please enable the Miracast feature and release a new driver or BIOS, wireless display is a must. The Bluetooth crashes from time to time and only reinstalling the driver solves the issue. Even with the newest Intel drivers from their website the issue is there. There is no specific triggering event to reproduce. It happens just randomly. This is a big problem when running an online call with bluetooth device. Otherwise I am supper happy with the PC, specifically that is very quiet and has integrated power supply. Hello, I am also affected by the restart/black screen issue described in this thread on the Beelink EQR5 with AMD Ryzen 7 5825U and 32GB RAM (BIOS FP656V507 from Sept 5, 2024, purchased Dec 2024 on Amazon Germany). I’ve reset the CMOS multiple times (including full power disconnection and CLR CMOS pin), but it only fixes the issue temporarily at best. Importantly, I rarely use Windows here and experience the exact same restart/black screen problems when running Linux (as a server), so this is clearly not OS-specific. Could you please confirm if updating to BIOS version FP656V509 specifically addresses and resolves this restart/black screen problem? Additionally, what exactly does this BIOS update include in detail (changelog/fix list), or where can I find detailed release notes/information about it?

URGENT! I just tried to update my bios with the latest V09. I prepared the USB flash drive. Than restarted the PC. I had to deactivate first the secure boot because the BIOS didn’t want to boot from the USB drive, it showed an error. After the change of the BIOS setting, I restarted the MiniPC, opened the boot menu with F7, and after I selected the drive and pressed enter it immediately started flashing. I couldn’t change the parameters. At some point it showed error 43 when erasing the NCB block. I then tried to flash once again with the parameters explained in the Word document, but again the same error. What should I do to avoid bricking the PC? I left it switched on. Here is a picture of the screen currently. Please help me to fix it. I can’t use my computer anymore. What command should I use to fix the issue? P.S I couldn’t even login to my account, I had to create new one because the login form didn’t accept a “-” in my email, although I used it to register. I’m the same person from the first post

I prepared a second USB flash drive with the previous BIOS v0.8 and was able to attach it to the miniPC. However the update failed again with the same error 43 when trying to erase the NCB block. What should I do now? The miniPC is in guarantee and I don’t want to return it. I want it to get fixed. Can you please help?

Error 43 when erasing NCB is almost certainly due to a faulty or write-locked BIOS chip (SPI flash), so you should only try resetting the CMOS and flashing again using the correct standard tool one last time. If the error persists, the safest course of action is to have it repaired by the manufacturer (using specialized equipment to reflash the BIOS) instead msn games of attempting it yourself to avoid completely bricking the device.

awrenceole Thanks! However, I’m concerned that if I restart the PC or switch it off and then again on, the miniPC will get bricked and I it will not be possible to run the flashing program again. I was hoping that there is some kind of parameters to run the flash program again but this time successfully. Or another flash program, because I’m still able to navigate in DOS environment. Or do you think that it will be possible to reboot and be able to run the the flashing program again?

Beelink CS-Bony The miniPC was sold to me with Version 0.7 and I had installed version 0.8 to fix the missing miracast issue. Now I tried to update from version 0.8 to 0.9, but it got stuck with error 43 when erasing the NCB Block. While the UEFI DOS was running I mounted a second USB drive and executed the BIOS version 0.8 update again, so that I revert the changes of version 0.9. However also the downgrade to 0.8 gives the same error 43 while trying to erase the NCB block.

What do you mean the main to send you the main page of the BIOS? I haven’t restarted the mini PC since three days, because if I do I might not be able to boot it again. I’m afraid it will brick. If this happens I can’t enter the BIOS and I will have to return it to Amazon. What I read on the Internet a failed BIOS update will most possibly make the PC unusable and the bios can only be updated by de-soldering the chip, flashing it manually and then soldering it again to the motherboard.

The Mini PC is an EQR5 with AMD Ryzen 7 5825u and 32GB. I’m trying to update from BIOS FP656V508 to FP656V509. I also attached a second USB drive and tried to downgrade the BIOS by running again FP656V508, but the same error 43 happened when erasing the NCB Block. I tried also a second time to install FP656V509, but again error 43 when erasing the NCB Block.

To send the mini PC from Germany to China for testing and then wait to receive it back many weeks later? I don’t think this is a good idea. This is my primary PC. All my data is stored on the SSD. I only have my 14 years old laptop as a second PC. Either I have to return the miniPC to Amazon as a defect, because it is still in the warranty period, or you have to find a solution how to fix it. Is it possible that the problem comes because of secure boot configuration in the BIOS done by the Windows 11 installation?

It may take 3 to 4 weeks to have it re-tested in China.
You can remove the SSD and keep the data.
If it is still within the return period, you can contact Amazon to initiate a return and get a refund.
You can also choose to have it replaced by returning it to our warehouse in Germany.
Replacement is usually faster than repair.

You can keep the SSD. The machine we send you will also come with an SSD.
Generally, we will replace it with a machine of the same model if there is no stock of the same model.
