Hello, I recently purchased a Beelink SER5-MAX-6800U mini PC and I’m having issues getting the proper Realtek audio drivers installed under Windows 11 24H2. Problem I downloaded the correct Audio_alc897 Realtek driver package directly from Beelink’s official driver website. According to the specs, the device should use Realtek ALC897 audio, but Windows insists on keeping the generic Microsoft High Definition Audio Device driver instead. What I Tried Ran the included InstallPackage.bat as Administrator. Everything in the CMD window reports success, showing that the .inf files were imported and drivers installed. Example: However, after reboot, Device Manager still only shows High Definition Audio Device (Microsoft): Checked Hardware IDs, and it shows: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0897&SUBSYS_10EC129E&REV_1004 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0897&SUBSYS_10EC129E It looks like the IDs may not match what’s included in the driver INF files. Tried manually updating through Device Manager → Update Driver → Browse my computer → Let me pick, but Windows just says: “The best drivers for your device are already installed” → and it keeps the generic Microsoft driver. Additional troubleshooting already attempted: Restored BIOS defaults multiple times. Fully powered down, unplugged power + HDMI cable, Reset CMOS and waited 10+ minutes. None of these steps changed the situation — Windows still refuses to load the Realtek drivers. Suspected Issue It seems like the Realtek driver package from Beelink may be missing the hardware IDs for this device revision, so Windows ignores it and defaults to the Microsoft driver. Any advice would be appreciated!

Kalzz Please try uninstalling the Microsoft High Definition Audio Device Driver and then installing the Audio_alc897 Realtek driver.

Kalzz Please go to AMD website and download the auto-detect program.It will update some chipsets and video drivers automatically. It will identify and install appropriate drivers for their AMD hardware. The program works by scanning the user’s system to detect the installed AMD hardware components, such as graphics cards or processors. It then compares the detected hardware information with a database of AMD drivers and software versions.

Already tried it of course, doesn’t work. Anyway it doesn’t matter, I’m just trying to help you by telling you what the problem is. You have to repackage the driver with the hardware IDs from my previous message included.

Beelink CS-Bettie I tried it, it says both my chipset and graphics drivers are up to date, it doesn’t give any option for realtek audio drivers at all. It seems like the hardware IDs of the audio device which are: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0897&SUBSYS_10EC129E&REV_1004 and HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0897&SUBSYS_10EC129E are not present in the Audio_alc897 driver provided which is why I can’t install them.

Please try to reinstall the system.Pls backup your data firstly, re-installing the system will make your data in your pc lost.

Ok so I figured out the issue: the latest revision of the SER5 Max actually uses a newer audio controller, so the default drivers provided aren’t the right ones. The correct audio drivers can instead be downloaded from the SER9-255H.

How to install these drivers? I have a brand new SER5 Max 6800H and have downloaded the realtek drivers from your link above but nothing happens ( yes, get a reply that install, bat was successful but then nothing happens, nothing changed even after reboot…and the High definitio audio driver can not be updated. Can you explain in detail how to do?
Your help will be appreciated

Hello there,

Could you please send us a picture of SN code(two lines) at the bottom of machine?

Then we will send you the driver file.

You can try to clear CMOS :Please turn off the PC , unplug the power supply and HDMI cable , and press the CMOS pinhole for about 10 seconds. Ten minutes later, plug the power supply and HDMI cable, turn on the PC again.

Please wait about one or two minute, if you can go to the system.
Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as your restart the PC, go to BIOS. Go to Boot option, enable fast boot, press F4 to save.
