MST hub DP to HDMI splitter

Generally speaking, should a splitter such as this one ( work with a Beelink that has a DisplayPort connector? Or might the answer vary on a model-to-model basis?

Has anyone tried and knows for sure? If so, I’d like to know which splitter you got, and which Beelink Mini-PC you got it working with…
