MATE SE with BeeLink SER-9 AI HX370

I was not sure which SSD slot was SSD1 and Grok AI thought it would be the one closest to the Thunderbolt power. I installed a 4TB SSD there and left the other empty.

Pluged everything in.. the MATE SE gets power.. I have an external HD using one of its USB-A ports and I tested a 512GB SD CARD in the card reader and it sees it as such.

BUT.. no SSD recognition.

System background is that I replaced the 2 1TB SSDs that came in the SER-9~ with 4TB SSDs and installed windows myself. System has been running well as a DVR and Docker-Immich server.

Am I missing something? If I may be wrong about what slot is SSD1 could you provide a diagram? The installation manual does not specifiy.

Your SSD may not be recognized due to compatibility issues. What is the model number of your SSD?

I do have an unrelated question about the Mate SE.

Power delivery confused me but I saw it was powered by the thunderbolt port from the SEP AI 9 HX370 via the bracket connector. There is another USB-C port next to it that says it is a PD power port. Is there a list of compatible chargers out there? Anything specific I could look for in case I need more power for the MATE SE and its perpherals?

Nevermind.. I opened it up and switched it to the other slot and all is well. You really need some indicator in there as to which is SSD Slot 1.. either inside teh unit or in the instructions. Unfortunately I closed it up and before testing and thought I should just ask for validation because, as you suggest, I might have had a bad SSD. It is a Samsung 990 Evo Plus and works fine afaik.

For anyone else with same question.. SSD Slot 1 seems to be the one AWAY frrom where teh connector would connect the MATE SE to the main unit.. the slot that has the plain metal shield below where the stick resides.

Only USB devices exceeding 15W require a PD power supply.
Any PD power supply with an output power of 15W or higher is suitable.
