My external power meter reports GTI15 drawing astounding 5 Watt when supposed being OFF
(That’s btw against EU law, as devices switched off are only allowed to draw <1 Watt)
And also in W11 idle power mode (power saving mode instead balanced mode is activated) draws unacceptable 26-27 Watt, despite Display Port 1.4 Monitor being off and no secondary devices connected.
Fast boot in BIOS as a energy saving tip from elsewhere is already deactivated, but didn’t help.
CPU TDP is set at only 54W.
Is that the same problem with the USB Hub that already plagued the GTI14?
Considering the 285H and Arrow Lake chipset are supposed to have drastically improved energy efficiency again compared to the 185H meteor lake these results are abysmal.
What’s the solution here?
