Hi there, I recently got around to setup an EQR6 with Ryzen 6800U. I replaced the original NVMe with a 2TB NVMe. The original still contains the Windows that the EQR came with. Now the mini PC runs FreeBSD 14.3 and it seems as if it also suffers from random restarts under load, like this post I let it run overnight (no load) and it did not turn off. Currently I’m running a script that count the seconds and CPU temperature to check if there is a thermal problem. Furthermore (but this is probably irrelevant, because the PC boots) I also see these in dmesg (like in this post ) Firmware Error (ACPI): Could not resolve symbol [\134_SB.PCI0.SBRG.EC0], AE_NOT_FOUND (20221020/dswload2-315) ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND, During name lookup/catalog (20221020/psobject-372) Firmware Error (ACPI): Could not resolve symbol [\134_SB.PCI0.SBRG.EC0], AE_NOT_FOUND (20221020/dswload2-315) ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND, During name lookup/catalog (20221020/psobject-372) P.S.: I removed a post in a topic (see first link) and re-posted it as standalone topic. Here are some potential solutions： ①Please take out the RAM ,please clean the contacts of the RAM with a rubber. When testing, please turn on the PC, and wait about one minute, if you can go to the system, Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as your restart the PC, go to BIOS. Go to Boot option, enable fast boot, press F4 to save. （If the PC comes with onboard RAM, you can ignore this solution ） ②Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS. Please send us a picture of the Main page, we will check if you need to update the BIOS. ③Please change another power supply. ④Overheating. If your PC is overheating, please check if the fan spins. You can also turn off the turbo boost. Hi, I also got an email and provided S/N and BIOS screenshot, as well as purchase record via e-mail.
I hope that’s okay.

The model I have has soldered RAM; I cannot take that out.
I continuously took temperature readings, the CPUs never went over 50°C, so I guess it’s not a temperature issue.
The fans also never spin up to very audible noise.

How could I check with another power supply? The power supply is integrated in the mini PC case.

I’d try BIOS update and another version of the graphics driver, amdgpu in my case.

I’ve updated the BIOS (I got a link sent via e-mail).

The process is straightforward. NOTE: contrary to the manual that is available, the prepared USB thumb drive was loaded automatically and the process started without me typing anything. If you follow suit, wait patiently until the screen turns black and pull the thumb drive. Otherwise the process starts again.

Yes, BIOS update was successful, I checked the version in the main screen of the BIOS after the update.

I think it got better. Since the update I got only a single restart.
I also put the Windows NVMe back in and let Windows do its updates. Maybe some firmware was also updated?

At this point, I think that this is caused by software in the OS. But it is manageable.

Just to make it clear: the problem is not 100% solved, but it is happens very infrequently. That is what I mean by “manageable”.
