Unable to install Windows 11 Version 25H2

Just received my SER8 and anxiously hooked it up. As a good citizen, Windows Updates are one of the first things that I triggered.
Most went well, but somehow it won’t install the 25H2 version :

Pls advice.

Please go to the windows terminal (admin) > type in : sfc /scannow > then wait until finished.

Press the “Windows+R” key, enter “SERVICES.MSC” and press enter. Find “Windows Update” in the service list, right-click on it and select “Restart”.

Please right click the windows —setting -troubleshooting —other toubleshooters— Windows update—run , let the PC diagnose the problem and solve it automatically.

You can try it. If that doesn’t work, you can go directly to the Microsoft official website to reinstall the Windows 11 version 25H2 system. If you need an activation key, please contact us.

If your machine cannot be upgraded to 25H2, please try to reinstall the system on Microsoft’s official website.

First time I tried again it went bust again, did another revert and after that it went smooth ….

Coming in late to this discussion but I have the same issue with updating to Version 25H2. I am getting error 0×80073712.
I tried the suggested steps above to still failed with same error. I also tried other corrections suggested including restarting services and bits and also renaming SoftwareDownloads folder in Windows folder and I get the same result.

Note that this is my 2nd Beelink mini pc. The other mini pc was successful in updating to Windows 11 version 25H2.
Suggestions?

I’m having the same problem with my Beelink Mini S12 Pro

Currently running Windows 11 Pro 24H2

Installing 25H2 always fails.

Installing via Microsoft Windows 11 Installation Assistant fails.

Installing from ISO created with Microsoft Windows Media Creation Tool fails.

chkdsk c: /f /r runs ok no errors

sfc /scannow verification always stops at 79% and displays the following message:
Windows resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

Tried manually deleting the Windows Update cache files (SoftwareDistribution folder, System32\catroot2 folder) as per online instructions, that made no difference.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth always fails at the same point:
[================== 32.2% ]
Error: 65
The specified buffer contains ill-formed data.

The exact same error occurs even if I use the ISO file as the source for the DISM operation.

Following are the last 20 or so lines of the dism.log files after failure. Note the warning at third line, then cascading errors.

Tried some more, really messed things up. Now it won’t boot into Winodws, it gives me a screen with 2 choices:

Install Winodws 11
Repair my PC

If I choose Repair, it eventually loops back to the same screen.
If I choose Install Winodws 11, it wants a producrt key.

At this point I have no choice but to reinstall Windows 11. Can you please send me product key for Windows 11 Pro.

For me it was also nearly impossible to install 25H2 on SER9 (and also on cheap laptop I bought as present to my niece). I don’t remember exact way, but after googling and trying about 15 different suggested ways I was able to update. I think it was something with corrupted updates list and I had to stop update services, delete some data, start update service, check for updates and, voilà, it worked (after about 6 hours). Definitely Microsoft problem, not Beelink.
You can reqeust activation key from Beelink, download and install Windows from Microsoft (that’s also one of reasons why I keep data on different drive an can format C: without losing any important files), or if you are from Europe, you can buy cheap OEM Windows activation key (usualy below 10EUR, in Europe it’s allowed to use OEM keys for installation on non-OEM computers and Microsoft also can’t block it, I’m not sure how is it in other regions) and use it during installation.
