GTI14 CPU Very High Temperatures at Idle

I have a GTI14 Ultra with dock. It has very high temperatures at idle and has thermal throttling. the temperature from the cpu sensor using AIDA64 stays locked at 72 C and never changes. The cpu package varies around 52 C at idle. HWinfo shows P-core 8 and P-core 9 highest at 89 C and 92 C max. P-core 11 next at 77 C. I have a screenshot from HWinfo, but don’t know how to add it.

Four main topics:
1) What BIOS version do you have? - update to the latest one.
2) Have you updated the ASM2307 firmware? - if not, update.
3) Do you have a pre-installed operating system or did you do a clean install? - a clean install is always the better option, but it requires time and effort.
4) Afterward, reset the CMOS using the “hidden button”.

1) Bios - GTI14T204 Build Date - 04/01/2025. I will update to the latest version.

2) Not sure what is the ASM2307 Firmware or how to update it.

3) Clean Install Windows 11 24H2

4) I will reset after bios and ASM2307 update.

I am confused about the bios update. I am on GTI14T204 Build Date - 04/01/2025.
Is this the latest update?

This is the “before you update message” Hi there,

For GTi14, there are two version of BIOS, so be careful when you download the BIOS files. The two versions cannot be mixed or misused.
The first version is From Version T100 to T105, namely you can ONLY update from T100 to T105 or downgrade from T105 to T100.
The second version is from Version T106 to T201, namely you can ONLY update from T106 to T201 or downgrade from T201 to T106.

Before you flash the BIOS, please contact our support at support-pc@bee-link.com ,
make sure that the BIOS file is correct for your item model, otherwise , it will brick your PC.

Also what is ASM2307 Firmware? Should it be updated and how to update?

As for the BIOS, the T204 seems to be the newest (or one of the newest); unfortunately, the lack of a clear logs and specific file naming generates some ambiguity.

Under load the CPU Package sensor is running over 90 C. Using heaven benchmark. I also have a GTI13 with an I9 that runs around 35 C using the same test. The GTI14 never runs below 62C even at idle. This CPU is defective and needs to be replaced. Image description
