I have recently noticed that my Wi-Fi NIC (Mediatek MT7925e) on the GTR9 Pro stopped being available within the network manager interface (apparently not detected/started at all) on my NixOS Linux (kernel 6.17.5), KDE Plasma 6.5.1 system. Shutting down and restarting the system several times did not help to resolve.
This seems to be yet another glitch on the Mediatek MT7925e Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card, similar to the already known not detected/started Bluetooth Controller issue. Checking the system logs I found:
nov 02 08:21:22 beelink-gtr9pro kernel: mt7925e 0000:c1:00.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0002)
nov 02 08:21:23 beelink-gtr9pro kernel: mt7925e 0000:c1:00.0: driver own failed
nov 02 08:21:23 beelink-gtr9pro kernel: mt7925e 0000:c1:00.0: probe with driver mt7925e failed with error -5
To resolve I tried the same resolution, again with success:
- Power down the GTR9 Pro;

- Fully unplug the AC power cord (disconnect it);

- Let it rest for a minute (to fully discharge any residual capacitance);

- Replug the AC power cord and power it on;

That again, resolved the issue and the Mediatek MT7925e Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card was now fully detected, both the Wi-Fi NIC and the Bluetooth controller are working normally.
