Hello,
Back in January I returned a Minisforum PC that kept hard crashing daily and switched to a Beelink SER8, which has never fully crashed the OS and has been much better to use.
However, there has been one daily issue that has been driving me insane in its own way and I can’t find a good solution online for it. At least once a day, my PC will temporarily flicker black, freeze for about 5 seconds, then come back. I’ll also get an error popup from AMD Adrenaline Software saying “AMD software detected that a driver timeout has occurred.”
I have tried restoring AMD Adrenaline to factory settings multiple times and it continues to happen daily.
The biggest issue with this problem is that I use this PC almost strictly to stream playing retro video games through OBS on Twitch. These games have low graphics requirements and can generally run on even standard Android phones or iPads, and the error doesn’t exclusively happen because I’m playing a game either. Often it’ll just randomly happen overnight while I sleep; I wake up and the computer has the error message. If it happens while I’m streaming too, it freezes my stream for several seconds and often prevents me from reopening my game window. It also messes with my OBS scaling and everything. For my one use case, it’s a really big problem.
Are there any things I can try? I haven’t attached any logs because I’m not sure what would be helpful, but please let me know what you’d need and I can provide them too. Thank you in advance.
