Hello, I have an AP34 (SN: EN808SIF32450) a couple of days ago I’ve downloaded the latest bios (AP34 AB1V17_cd_AP34_20171123.zip) the update started without problems (under Windows 10) but then already the first part (when it starts to delete) seemed strangely slow to me so, since the situation had seemed rather serious to me by now, I left everything running hoping that it would still come to an end and report something to me. I mean, I thought it would stay on with some wording, like “update failed,” clearly I would NOT turn it off, and as long as the operating system was working, I would at least try to repeat the operation or try other ways and options. Instead, after many many minutes, in the meantime I had left willing to wait even hours, I realized that something had happened only because I glimpsed a glare of the screen: now the mini pc was on but no longer gave any kind of signal (except the led on)! This is absurd! The windows tool to update the bios must NOT restart the PC arbitrarily and no matter what happens it must remain stuck on the final message! Now what can I do? There’s probably nothing more that can be done, I don’t think the product was so advanced that it was able to flash the bios on its own using a USB stick

1 AP34 (yes another one and it’s working. The BIOS must be “14” if I remember.. but haven’t time to check right now)
1 5500U
1 5700U (in this moment I’m writing using it )

the metal “case” of the second AP34 is a little darker (sticker is different and also report “AP34-C-464NDBW34” under the SN) the serial number is EN808SFKF4097
I don’t think it makes sense to send it to China, since it’s not easy to find on eBay, but when someone sells it the price is less than $50 including power supply. Isn’t there a forced flash procedure using a pen drive? Can you send me a complete motherboard? In reality this product is now old and so slow that there is little possibility of using it (in fact I am using the other AP34 with Linux). The very annoying thing is that it was still working sloooooooooow but fine, I wanted to install Linux and before doing that I wanted to update the BIOS

Our R&D team confirms that your machine has been flashed with the incorrect BIOS. Without specialized equipment, you cannot repair the BIOS yourself.
Currently, there is no inventory of motherboards for your specific model.
Your machine requires reflashing with the original BIOS, which necessitates a professional programmer. Do you have such equipment?

AP34 and AP34-PRO (???)
you mean that this is an AP34-PRO ? ( not AP34 ??? )

But When I’ve purchased it, the seller had two models
one cost less and was AP34, the other was AP34-PRO
I chose AP34, the print printed directly on the metal case says AP34 (NOT AP34-PRO !!), same thing on the boxes that contained it!
Are you saying you shipped AP34-PRO motherboards in the AP34 container ? !? 😒

This morning I check how much costs to me the shipment (using the cheapest and maybe slow postal shipment) ..
but only the mainboard.
I haven’t any hurry, this is only because I hate to trash perfectly working object only for an easily resolvable problem (if you have the necessary tools). Unfortunately I have leaved the dismounted AP34 on a desk and while I was at the office someone lost the small red power plastic button.. please, do you have also the replacement part ? Now I have closed and reparted all the dismounted parts in zip bags 😄

is it possible to simplify everything? Maybe I could ship the motherboard as early as tomorrow. To which address should it be sent?
When you send back the repaired motherboard you can add the power button and maybe even four new rubber adhesive feet (since the old ones have broken double-sided tape and dried glue)
Do I need to write the same thing to the email address you reported to me? But do they know what it is? What have we been talking about for several days? What solution did we find?
