Hello everyone,
I’m writing to ask for help because I’m experiencing serious temperature and fan noise issues with my Beelink GTR5 (AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX).
The main problem is that CPU temperatures rise extremely fast and the fans become very loud, even with very light workloads.
Typical scenario:
system just booted
only a web browser open (no heavy apps, no games, no rendering)
within a short time the CPU temperature rises sharply
fans ramp up aggressively and become clearly audible
This also happens with:
YouTube videos
video calls
other light applications
I have already tried:
lowering the CPU TDP from 45W to lower values
checking for abnormal background processes
Unfortunately, this did not significantly improve the situation.
Temperature data (measured with Core Temp):
CPU load: between 2% and 17%
Power consumption: 9.8W
CPU frequency: 3.0–3.8 GHz
Usage: browser only
CPU temperature: 85°C
Maximum recorded: 95°C
With these values, the fans are already quite loud and ramp up immediately when I start a YouTube video or any slightly heavier task.
In my opinion, these temperatures do not seem normal for such a low load and power usage.
It feels like there may be an issue with:
cooling efficiency
fan curve behavior
boost management
thermal paste / heatsink contact
I would like to ask:
is this a known behavior or issue with the GTR5 / Ryzen 9 5900HX?
are there BIOS updates, firmware fixes, or fan profile settings that can help?
has anyone managed to improve this with undervolting, boost limits, or repasting?
At the moment, the system is very difficult to use in a quiet environment because the fans ramp up almost immediately, even under light usage.
Any help or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
