Mini PC Shutting down underload due to overheat condition.

I have a Beelink AMD Ryzen Model: SER5 PRO-E-16500EJ0W65PRO-D SN D59003FF30186 that is overheating under load and shutting down (as confirmed by temperature monitoring utilities) I’d like to begin by updating the firmware (last update 2023) and then, if possible, get information on how to disassemble to inspect/repair any thermal paste.

I notice that the fans are not running at full speed when the device shuts off. But they are capable of running at full speed when set to do so in the bios. There appears to be some disconnect between the fan sped and the temperature (they should start spinning faster as it heats up before it shuts itself off).

Please send firmware and any repair documentation you might have.

Hello Mark,

May I confirm if your machine is SER5 5700?

Because we don`t have the SER5 5900 model.

Here are some solutions:

① Please repeatedly press delete key as soon as you turn on the PC, go to BIOS. Please send us a picture of the Main page, we will check if you need to update the BIOS.

② If updating the BIOS cannot solve the problem, please adjust the fan speed, some item model have the fan control function in the BIOS, such as SER5560,SER5500,SER5600, SER 5700,SER5800.

③ Please adjust the VRAM in the BIOS, sometimes changing the VRAM can also help.

④Overheating. If your PC is overheating, please check if the fan spins. You can also turn off the turbo boost. Adjust power settings: Adjust the power settings on your PC to optimize performance and reduce heat generation. Lowering the maximum processor state or using power-saving modes can help.Go to control panel —power option—change to High performance— change plan setting—advanced setting —processor power management— change both 100% to 99% , click save.

⑤Remove the fan, clean it and apply a very small amount of nonconducting lubricant to the shaft and reassemble the unit
