Bios update for GTi15 Question

Hi there,

I am currently using a GTi15 with an Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 285H and an EX Pro Dock.

BIOS version/date: American Megatrends International, LLC. GTi15T203, 16/09/2025
SMBIOS version: 3.8

Could you please let me know if a BIOS update is available for my system? If so, which version from the list would be the correct one to upgrade to?

If multiple updates are available, can I flash only the latest BIOS version, or do I need to install them one by one?

If an update is required, simply update to the latest BIOS version.

I entered the BIOS and selected the USB drive containing the files. I waited for the process to complete and then exited.

However, I’m not sure whether the BIOS was actually flashed and updated. Please see the screenshot below:

After this process, it displayed “Complete.”

The last instruction in the guide said to type exit, which I did.

I am now back in Windows, and System Information shows:
SMBIOS Version: 3.8
GTI15T203, 16/09/2025

Because of this, I don’t think the update was applied, even though it said “Complete.”

I restarted the PC and it now shows GTI15T205, 27/01/2026.

However, there’s one odd thing. I had previously set up fingerprint sign-in, but after the BIOS update both fingerprint and Windows Hello were completely unavailable for some reason.

I had to enable an additional setting called “Sign in with an external camera or fingerprint reader.” Once that was turned on, everything started working again after a restart.

So if others encounter this issue on the latest Windows 11 25H2 build, they’ll need to re-enable this setting after the BIOS update.

Thanks for your feedback. You are right, after the update, we need to disconnect the power supply and plug it back , then restart the PC, we will see the updated version.

BIOS updates often clear/reset TPM (Trusted Platform Module) keys, which Windows Hello relies on for secure storage of biometric data and PIN credentials, that is why you need to enable “Sign in with an external camera or fingerprint reader.”
