Hi guys, I’m not much of a ‘techy’ so bear with, so just recently I was trying to install a ‘footy’ app off playstore, it installs ok, but when I go to open it I get a message saying “ not a real device ” so I end up uninstalling it, I have tried numerous apps as well as the ‘footy’ app and I still get the same message, It never used to be like this until just recently. I have a Beelink GT1 with the current version 709D0_20180702-100659 and according to the message on my system, it IS up to date. Any help will be appreciated. Regards muvoda.

    Hi there,

Your firmware version is the latest one.

    System - Related Solutions
    Google Play Services
Out - of - date or corrupted Google Play Services can cause issues with app authentication and device recognition. Go to the Google Play Store app, search for “Google Play Services,” and see if there’s an update available. If an update is available, install it and then try to open the apps again.
    Device Identification
It’s possible that the device identification information on your Beelink GT1 TV box is incorrect or has become corrupted. Some apps rely on accurate device identification to determine if they can run on a particular device. You can try a factory reset of your TV box as a last resort. However, be aware that this will erase all your installed apps and settings. To perform a factory reset, look for the “Reset” option in the device settings. Usually, it’s under “System” or “Backup & Reset.”

Hi, and thank you for all the info, that is exactly what I was thinking of, I was just messing about and checking stuff when I came across ‘Kodi’ install, so I tried to ‘over install’ the app again and I got a message that it couldn’t install because it might be corrupted, so I will delete Kodi and reinstall again. I am seriously thinking of also doing a factory reset on my Beelink box because the picture is very patchy and I have 2 lighthome apps, 1 will give me location and time and the other keeps spinning around, I am not connected to my pc just to my tv, I use ipvanish when I am watching movies and tv shows, and I can reinstall the present apps on kodi (when I lose them) back again, also I don’t have anything personal stored on the box so I should be ok, would you advise a factory reset on the Beelink box? and would it rectify the couple of issues I mentioned or just get rid of kodi and reinstall kodi again. I really do appreciate your responses and your help, thank you so much. Regards muvoda.

Hi again, I have deleted kodi and reinstalled it, but now, playstore will not let me install duckduckgo saying “ this tablet isn’t compatible with this app” so I tried an APK (from a reputable site) and it was very very sluggish so I’ve got rid. It was never an issue before, duckduckgo was working fine, so I’m thinking of doing a factory reset now on the Beelink box and start from scratch again, sorry to be a pain but I cannot for the life of me figure out what has gone wrong, also what I have noticed is ‘developer options’ underneath the droid settings that was never there before, plus when I go to to
shutdown the box, it jumps over to the sleep button, and when I try again it does eventually let me shut it down. Little things like these that were never an issue before. So Ok, I have had my little rant!! and I’m sorry to be a pain, I will try the factory reset and keep you informed. Regards muvoda.

Hello @support1, Well I am at a loss really, I have done a factory reset and I am having all sorts of problems, 1, apps off Google play will not let me install, I get a message ' this tablet isn’t compatible etc, 2, The home page on my Beelink the location keeps spinning and will not accept my location when I type it in, I have got fast WiFi and everything is connected and working as it should, If I try and download an APK it’s saying ‘problem parsing the package’ and it seems that whatever I try nothing will work, I haven’t yet seen a message though about my device not being real so that’s a blessing I suppose!! I’m at the end of my tether now because I cannot think of what to do next, I am ready to throw it in the bin unless you have any ideas (that are not too complicated to a novice like me) Anyway I DO understand that you are a busy guy helping people out with real problems with their PCs, so if I don’t hear back I will totally understand. Thank you for your input earlier. Regards muvoda.

Thank you, I will give it a try.👍

Hi Support1, I am probably going to sound like a right idiot….. But, do I take my pick of which brushtool update to install, ie, USB or SD card, or do I have to do the USB AND the SD card in that order? Sorry to be a pain but I did say I ain’t no ‘ techy’ Regards muvoda.

      Hi there,

      Please use USB to update

Hello again Support1, Just a quick question please, on the link in the tutorial I noticed that it states ‘Beelink G1 mini’ but mine is a ‘Beelink GT1 Ultimate.’ So, before I go ahead, will this be ok for my device? I have already downloaded the firmware onto my USB drive and I’m hoping that this is correct as well? Please be patient with me, we all have to learn sometime🤪 Regards muvoda.

        UPDATE….
Hello, I have followed your advice and unfortunately I have ended up with a GREEN screen!!! I really do not know what has happened, it all installed once I connected the box and computer together ( with male to male ) usb cable, so now I am hoping that you can help me out again please, or is the box kaput? I downloaded the brush tool and the firmware on my computer and I dropped and dragged the firmware ( not brushtool ) onto the USB stick but I had to extract it first, I tried a second time without extracting but it wouldn’t drop down to ‘ file name box’ at the bottom like an extracted one did when pressing the GT file in the box. Honestly I am a complete novice and this has driven me mad. Please help Support1. Thank you.

        ###PLEASE HELP ### GREEN SCREEN ###

Hi all, I need some expert advice please, I have downloaded the brush tool and firmware for my GT1 Ultimate and now I have a permeant “Green Screen” could I get this box back to normal operating procedures or is my box completely knackered? I’m annoyed because I paid a lot for this box due to the fantastic reviews it had at the time, I have had it a while. Can it now be repaired? I cannot seem to find anything on the net that I could try, so I’m reaching out to you guys. Regards muvoda.

        Hi there,

Could you please try to factory reset ?

        Hi Support.
I have tried a factory reset ( if you mean pressing and holding the reset button? ) so, I left the box powered on with the full Green Screen showing for about 20mins and then… as if by magic the the Beelink Logo appeared, great I thought!! So after leaving it plugged in for a couple of hours the Logo still remained and nothing else happened, I cannot use the remote and the tv screen is completely full with the logo, ie, nothing showing on the tv to press on or do anything to, so I unplugged the box and kept the reset button pressed down and held it down while I powered up again, I did this for ⅔ minutes without any joy. The green screen returns as soon as I power up, then like I said, the Beelink logo returns again in roughly 20mins. Can this be brought back to life Support1? I’m really at my wits end, I cannot afford another one. I DO also understand that all your work is around the pc’s and not so much the tv boxes, so if you can help then I really would appreciate it. Kind regards muvoda.
