support1 this is why I told you it would be better if you Beelink professionals would implement it in BIOS, and not a 3rd party software which I trust less.
I have just tried it out: SER8, I have fully disabled CPU fan with SpeedFan in Windows, and the temperaturses could stay under 50C even when watching a 4K video on Youtube. Try this out, it works fine. And this is exactly what some of us wants, just an option to disable the fan when the computer is idle. When the computer is totally idle, temps are under 35C if cooled prior to it. I understand you don’t want to risk the CPU overheating by setting the “SMF Temperature Limit of OFF” too high, but then just max this settings at 60C, and with that, the cooling can still react to an increasing temperature and hold it back from throttling.
I also tested this scenario: let the computer to slowly heat up above 60C, with fan still turned off, then started a stress test, and also started the CPU fan immediately. It could EASILY stop the highest CPU temp at 72C, which means that this SER8 has an absolute perfect heating.
Why don’t you let us use the advantage of this fantastic hardware heating of SER8 to make the computer dead silent when idle? You have THE BEST cooling in the MiniPC market right now, and you don’t let us use the advantage of it, I don’t understand.
